Sorry because some trails were not intensive enough for your activity level. In general, this tour is designed for moderate hikers, but I give my best to extend it is much as possible.
Regarding to the trail from Njegusi to Ivanova Korita, it was extended with additional circle to Babina Glava peak. This two trails gives quite an intensive day hike (about 25km with 1200m up and 750m down). Did you reach the Babina Glava viewpoint on that day?

Regarding to the trail from Ivanova Korita to Ceklin, unfotunately, there is no better option. I wanted to keep the point-to-point shape of this trek, thats why decided to include this trail. Also, many people love to see Cetinje on the way to Ceklin …

The barricade in Gornji Murici is set to stop cows and other animals getting out of the village. It is not made to stop people. This is quite usual phenomena in south of Montenegro. I will add this note to the booklet so a visitor should have no feeling of getting in to a banned zone.

If we are talking about this tour, happened in the Mediterranean part of Montenegro, best time for it is from April ’till second half of June. Also, September and October are just perfect !
In May, June, Sept. or Oct. you can also do swimming in pleasant waters of Boka Kotorska bay, Adriatic or Skadar lake.

From second half of June till the end of August here are extreme hot temperatures what makes hiking less joyable ! But in case of Mieke and Roland, nevertheless the high temperatures in July&August, they really enjoyed their hikes and journey ! Also, I can tell that many other individuals/groups hike around in that period without complains – but it is important to know that temperatures sometimes rise up to 40 C during the day !

Besides, one of magic things to do in winter time (Mediterraneo) is snow shoeing in mountains above the coast (Orjen and Lovcen), combined with hikes in Boka Kotorska bay!
Best time: January ’till March
